In the press

2009 was an unbelievable year in the media for Fen Paddle and it took us completely by surprise. We first visited Jordan Day at Ely Weekly News/Cambridge Evening News and asked him to write a small piece for us…the response was amazing!

Jordan’s piece was swiftly followed up by Stuart at ITV Anglia Tonight, then Jeremy Sallis at BBC Radio Cambridgeshire (you’ll see him in the BBC National Breakfast piece too – he’s been a great help and new friend to us), that lead onto Paul with BBC Look East. Then things calmed down for a month or so before Mark Worthington turned up with BBC National Breakfast for a live broadcast on 3rd August (Roly’s birthday, weirdly enough). Immediately after the live broadcast he met up with Stuart from ITV again, for a follow-up piece. This was filmed in a rowing boat with him paddling, the reporters and photographers from the National Newspapers; you’ll find links for some of these below.

Whilst we’ve taken every care to make sure of the safety and appropriateness, we cannot take responsibility for what you may see if you view these links. If you are in any doubt, please do your own search in Google for Roland Gurner, Rowland Gurner or Fen Paddle Company.

For 2010 we will continue to add web links to this section and we will also start adding photos, blogs and videos to the main section of the site.
